Instructions

To make this lasagna recipe, begin by preheating your oven to 375°F. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Drain any excess fat from the pan and return the beef to the skillet. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, the salt, and the black pepper. Stir to combine.

Spread 1/2 cup of the marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Place 4 of the lasagna noodles on top of the sauce. Spread 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture on top of the noodles. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Spread 1/2 cup of the marinara sauce over the cheese.

Repeat the layers, ending with the noodles. Spread the remaining 1/2 cup of marinara sauce over the noodles. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.

Bake for 40 minutes, or until the noodles are tender. Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
