Ingredients

2-3 lb. boneless beef rump roast
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, diced

1/2 cup dry red wine
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 bay leaves

Instructions

1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the rump roast and brown on all sides. Transfer the roast to the slow cooker.

2. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the beef broth, red wine, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
