Nothing beats the taste of a perfectly cooked chicken breast. The problem is, it's easy to overcook them and make them dry. With a pressure cooker, however, you can make delicious, juicy chicken breasts in a fraction of the time it would take to cook them in the oven. Not only is pressure cooker chicken faster and easier, but it's also incredibly versatile. Whether you're looking for a simple weeknight meal or a more flavorful dish for a special occasion, you're sure to find a pressure cooker chicken recipe to suit your needs.

In this article, we'll give you a simple recipe for pressure cooker chicken breasts, along with some tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your pressure cooker. We'll also give you some ideas on how to jazz up the recipe to make it more interesting and flavorful. So let's get started!

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs (such as oregano, basil, thyme, etc)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

1. Place the chicken breasts in the pressure cooker. Pour the chicken broth over them and add the olive oil, garlic powder, herbs, salt and pepper. Close the lid and seal the pressure cooker.

2. Cook the chicken on high pressure for 10 minutes. When the cooking time is up, turn off the heat and quick-release the pressure. Carefully open the lid and transfer the chicken to a plate.

3. Heat the butter in the pressure cooker over medium-high heat. Add the chicken back to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.

4. Serve the chicken with your favorite sides. Enjoy!

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • Serving platter

Notes

If you don't have a pressure cooker, you can also make this recipe in a slow cooker. Simply add the chicken, broth, and seasonings to the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

You can also make this recipe with bone-in chicken. Cook for 20 minutes on high pressure, then follow the rest of the instructions as written.
